About the Position

There is now a place for you – 1. Helicopter Squadron is recruiting a tactical officer for the execution and mission support section!
About the Position
As a tactical officer, you will serve in the helicopter squadron's execution and mission support section. The section (S3) leads the execution of the helicopter squadron's operations and tasks in the short to medium term. This is done by following up tasks, participating in mission planning, participating in and sometimes leading briefings, continuously collaborating with various parts of the Armed Forces, following up on missions, and participating in production planning. During the execution of tasks and missions, collaboration occurs with parallel and supported units, including authorities and foreign entities. S3 is responsible for reporting to subordinate and higher command. During missions and exercises, the tactical officer acts as the planning officer in the helicopter squadron's mission support (Mission Support Element). The mission support participates in mission planning and follows up on the execution of missions.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning, coordination, and follow-up of the squadron's tasks and orders
- Responsible for reporting to higher command and subordinate units
- Coordination of helicopter missions
- Support training of flying crews
- Handle operational overview
- Be part of the squadron's staff and mission support during exercises and operations
- Participate in flight production planning for the current year
- Participate in functional development within the work area
Qualifications
- Officer or specialist officer
- Driving license B
Meritorious
- Experience in staff service
- Service in mission support
- Experience in recovery (Personal Recovery)
- Military driver's license
- Heavy driving license
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone who can plan and lead the planning work in a given task. This includes being solution-oriented and flexible to move forward in the work. You should also have good collaboration and social skills as several units and individuals are affected by the tasks. You can manage people well based on their different needs and conditions since the position also involves training personnel. Personal attributes will be given significant weight during selection.

Employment type: Permanent full-time position, evening and weekend work may occur.
Work location: Luleå, travel may occur.

Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement
Salary: Individual salary setting according to the Armed Forces' agreement.
The position is subject to international service obligation and wartime placement.

The Swedish Armed Forces' Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and maritime operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.
Helicopter support is in demand by many. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or surveillance missions. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also as support to society in various crisis situations.
Our operations span across Sweden, the breadth of tasks, and the size of the wing with over 950 employees provide a variety of work and opportunities for personal development. The majority of the Helicopter Wing is located in Linköping (Malmen), where we also manage Malmen Airport and Linköping Garrison, with two large units in Luleå (Kallax) and Ronneby (Kallinge).
